Café Bergson is a vibrant cultural hub where artists, musicians, and community members are brought together to live in the space of a hatred-free future.
We stimulate connection and dialogue through freshly brewed coffee, delicious baked goods, and workshops and events. Visitors can unwind and reflect after engaging in our educational programs or simply gather to enjoy a rich array of cultural events.
The café hosts an eclectic mix of events, including children’s puppet shows, indie artists performing live music, art sessions including colorful sketches and weaving, and learning workshops, from dancing classes to Oświęcim history and Jewish historical literature.
Visitors connect through a unique lens of “Where do we go from here?” and “How can we leave hatred, discrimination, and genocide in the past?”
Situated in the home of Szymon Kluger, the last Jewish resident of Oświęcim, Café Bergson is steeped in history. It’s a place that merges its historic past with our mission for the future. The café fosters a deeper understanding of Jewish heritage through its events and ambiance and encourages ongoing dialogue about human rights and reconciliation.
