A Program for Commanding Officers in Law Enforcement
Confronting Evil is a three-day intensive seminar for law enforcement, prosecutors, law students, and police trainers designed to use the power of Auschwitz and Birkenau to impress their critical role in preventing dehumanization and promoting human rights.
Through examining the unique history, the role, and the relationship law enforcement played in creating a genocide like the Holocaust, we open a conversation about the contemporary responsibility of law enforcement to police crimes against members of diverse ethnic, religious, and social groups.
We explore their role in preventing violence by raising awareness of their deep responsibility, opening dialogue, creating empathy, and developing skills. Through these mediums, we explore what hatred looks like when it’s bubbling under the surface and how that can transition to violence and mass atrocities.
Confronting Evil has proudly hosted over 400 law enforcement officers to date from all over the world,
including; Germany, Belgium, Poland, The European Police, Iceland, and the International Interpol Network. We are always seeking to expand these programs to more sectors and countries.
