Drop-in visitors

What visitors can experience and do

Our campus warmly welcomes thousands of drop-in visitors a year, many of whom want to learn about the Jewish community in Oświęcim, its poignant history, and understand the devastating story of how we came to a full-on genocide throughout Europe, like the Holocaust.

We offer diverse workshops and programs designed for adults and children, crafted to fight hatred and commemorate the Jewish community. To participate in these meaningful experiences, online coordination or reservations are necessary.

Drop-in visitors are always welcome during our opening hours. Without prior reservations, you can still explore our campus, including the Jewish Museum, Synagogue, and other significant sites such as the Kluger Family House (home to Café Bergson), the Great Synagogue Memorial Park, and the restored Jewish cemetery.

We also host workshops and cultural events.

I don’t understand how someone can come to like Auschwitz or like any of these places of mass atrocity and return the same
