IMAGE OF HOPE
FOR THE HOSTAGES

In an act of courage, hope and solidarity, 240 Holocaust Survivors gathered to show support for the safe return of the 240 hostages kidnapped by Hamas on October 7, 2023.

Each holding an image of a kidnapped hostage, the Holocaust Survivors stood for a group portrait by famed photographer Gillan Laub, sending a message of strength and resilience to the hostages and their families as well as deep gratitude to the United States Government and Armed Services for protecting Jewish Victims of Mass Atrocity.

The event, conceived by AJCF Director General Jack Simony and organized by the Auschwitz Jewish Center Foundation (AJCF), was in collaboration with Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island, Nachas Health and Family Network, Selfhelp, Guardians of the Sick / Boro Park Bikur Cholim, and the Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust.
